Ancho Honey Chicken Wings

These wings were the bomb! This sauce is amazing! You can grill the wings until they reach an internal temperature of 165 and then toss them in the sauce, or you can do like I did and cook them in the air fryer then toss them in the sauce! Either way, they will be a hit! A little sweet and a little smoky and a whole lot of Yum!

Here's what you need:

5 lb raw chicken wings

1 1/2 t (or so) ancho chili powder

1/2 cup honey

4 T lower sodium soy sauce

1/2 t garlic powder

1/4 t to 1/2 t crushed red pepper flakes (to your taste)

Mix the honey, soy sauce, garlic powder and red pepper flakes together in a large bowl. Set aside. Sprinkle the wings with the ancho chili powder evenly. I cooked them in the air fryer at 380 for 25 minutes and I shook them a couple of times during the cooking process (.The wings can also be grilled until they reach a temperature of 165). When they are done cooking, toss them in the sauce and stir well to coat. I then placed the wings on a large baking sheet and cooked them under the broiler for two minutes. Be careful not to let them burn! Drizzle any extra sauce on the bottom of the pan, over the wings to serve. Enjoy!
