Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Don't you just love a little sweet heat? I sure do! This amazingly delicious, and easy recipe will leave you loving it too! This easy glaze will work on chicken thighs, breasts or wings! In this recipe today, I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs. It is a perfect combination of the sweet honey, and the spicy red pepper, (which you can adjust to your taste), and the smoky flavor of the ancho chili! Try this soon!

Here;s what you need: ( to serve 4)

6-8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

1/2 cup honey

4 T lower sodium soy sauce

1/2 t garlic powder

1/2 t to 1 t red pepper flakes ( adjust to your taste)

2 t ancho chili powder (or 1 1/2 t regular chili powder)

salt to taste

olive oil

Fresh parsley to garnish

Preheat the grill to medium high. Brush the chicken with olive oil on both sides, and sprinkle evenly with the ancho chili powder and salt to taste on both sides.

In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Whisk to mix well. Set this aside. (reserve about 2T out )

Place the chicken on the grill, and baste with the honey mixture. Cook to get good grill marks. Flip and baste the other side. Continue basting the chicken until it is cooked to an internal temperature of 165. Place on a serving platter and drizzle with the reserved glaze. Garnish with the parsley. Time to eat!!
